Welcome to the studio.
an exploration of personal identity, femininity, and women-centered craft
Rooted in her love for still life imagery and traditional folk art motifs, Haley intuitively composes her artwork as vignettes of her inner world. Each painting and illustration depicts a journey inward — reflections of her lived experiences as a woman, the inherited wisdom of those who came before her, and her nostalgia for the innocence of girlhood. Each painting is a narrative, written by Haley and brought to life by your own understanding.
FINDING MEANING
Inspired by the delicate, graphic designs found in European folk art and the ideal of looking out your window to see summer in full effect, “Vintage Lemons” is a burst of citrus and California poppies. Inlaid with golden art deco motifs (hand-embellished, if you want!), this piece is a personal favorite with its intricate details and 70s embroidery feel.
Gold Embellishment: If selected below, I will hand-embellish your print with gold paint to make the golden elements really pop. This is a beautiful way to enhance your print, bringing it to life and making it look just like the original painting! Please note the fee for this special service is determined by this specific print’s level of gold detailing and will vary from print to print.
Details: Each print is an archival giclée reproduction printed to order on high quality, beautifully textured paper or canvas here in my studio on a professional fine art printer. Each print is cut by hand and packaged individually in a clear sleeve with backing board to be shipped in a rigid flat mailer (small print) or rolled up in protective tissue paper and shipped in a sturdy tube (large print).

This burning candle is akin to an hourglass, marking time as it passes and reminding me that there is an end to every season, every version of ourselves, and every life. She’s a beautiful signifier of a natural finality to all things — a sort of melting away in order to begin anew.
What’s left when the lights go out? At the end of the day, what really matters? I find myself realizing my priorities have shifted as I enter my thirtieth year of life. Ideals and goals have grown and morphed into bigger, brighter entities. I feel empowered blowing candles out on my journey, allowing old ideas to be abandoned for new ones. I can feel something good on the way for all of us — I just know it.

The first tablescape I’ve painted in the studio, this piece is the embodiment of summer gatherings. Beautifully textured lemons, dancing cosmos, and delicate silverware sit on a checkered table, a lingering in-between moment as friends ready the table for a meal together. We’ve all experienced this moment in our lives; though it is familiar, it is a precious moment shared with friends — a reminder that life is better in good company.

An oyster is cracked open, a pearl emerging from its iridescent refuge. It’s a timeless metaphor for the potential we hold, a beautiful resource we may protect and foster in earnest.
I am drawn to oysters. I love their strange little bodies; sensual, organic, and iridescent, they’re each a little marvel nestled in their little shells, pearls shining like magical treasure just waiting to be plucked out and admired. This sea foam, beach-inspired painting is a reminder of the joy of self-discovery, what comes when we allow ourselves to grow, and the preciousness of our unique gifts.

An ode to the small items we collect, this painting celebrates what can be found in the pockets and purses of women throughout the ages: pink shells pocketed on long beach walks, worn keys to spaces we’ve inhabited, and tulips plucked in the crisp air of spring for our tables and for loved ones.
Beyond the physical collection, shells symbolize protection and mysterious opportunity — does this one have a pearl? Let’s crack it open and see. Tulips have been arranged by women for hundreds of years and painted into still lives, bursting proudly with their beauty then fading as their necks turn downward in rest. They note a sacred passage of time and fading beauty.

Inspired by the delicate, graphic motifs in European folk art and the ideal of looking out your window to see summer in full effect, “Summer In The Stars” is a burst of sunshine. A blooming branch of oranges is the centerpiece, composed in a neon-framed portal to the sky. Metallic gold stars adorn the border, bringing a touch of whimsy with their groovy celestial shapes. The sides of this painting are a bright lilac, a cool contrast to the warmth of the composition.

Oysters are mysterious little creatures. I am drawn to their little alien bodies, sheltered in their iridescent shells protecting them from their environment. They have long been symbols of femininity, often associated with fertility and womanhood. They hold pearls — pearls of possibility and hope. pearls of innocence, pearls of opportunity. I love the mystery of their creation, how something seemingly so raw and rough can create such a precious treasure.
This oyster painting is a reminder of the joy of self-discovery, what comes when we allow ourselves to grow, and the preciousness of our unique gifts.
